At the heart of the DMP-A8 Gen 2 is one of AKM’s most advanced DAC implementations, combining the AK4191EQ digital processor with the flagship AK4499EXEQ DAC. By separating digital processing from analogue conversion, Eversolo minimises interference throughout the signal path, allowing each stage to operate with exceptional precision.
Supporting PCM up to 768kHz/32-bit and native DSD512, the system reproduces recordings with remarkable transparency, precise imaging and outstanding low-level detail. AKM’s Velvet Sound™ architecture further enhances tonal naturalness, delivering a presentation that is smooth, spacious and highly engaging without sacrificing accuracy.

A precision R-2R resistor ladder performs volume adjustment entirely within the analogue domain, preserving dynamics and musical detail without the compromises associated with digital attenuation. Balanced XLR and single-ended RCA inputs and outputs make integration effortless, whether connecting power amplifiers, active loudspeakers or traditional analogue sources. Every stage has been engineered to maintain the integrity of the original recording from input to output.
