The Ruark R1-S offers easy access to your favourite radio stations, as well as adding Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, using an enclosure and drive unit that are perfectly matched. The latest neodymium NS+ driver provides a smooth and extended frequency response, while the enclosure delivers an impressive bass response from a compact cabinet. The speaker is driven by a punchy Class A/B linear amplifier, providing power with efficiency, creating exceptional dynamics and details. Adaptive EQ delivers a highly listenable sound at any volume level.

With DAB and DAB+ radio, listen to all your favourite stations with ease, or tune into any FM station. The Ruark R1S features Wi-Fi and Bluetooth wireless connectivity, allowing you to connect any device to stream music wirelessly. Play music from your favourite music streaming service or any local files and hear them all in great sound through the R1S, including Spotify Connect, Deezer and Amazon Music. A 3.5mm auxiliary input also lets you connect your device with a cable.

The R1S features a high contrast OLED display, with time, alarms and programme information shown. An auto dimming feature allows the display to suit ambient light levels, making it ideal to use in the bedroom. The radio can be easily controlled with Ruark’s intuitive Rotodial system on the top panel, or alternatively controlled with an additional remote control. A 3.5mm headphone output allows you to listen privately, and the radio can be battery powered with the optional Ruark BackPack 3, rechargeable battery pack for listening outside or on the move.

The new Ruark R1S radio boasts a new stylish design, using a precision moulded enclosure to provide both a modern looking form factor and an acoustically inert cabinet, as an ideal housing for the driver and electronics. The driver is covered by a hand-crafted wooden slat grille for a sophisticated design, with the housing in a contemporary Mid Grey finish.
