Sonus Faber always found its inspiration in the highest Italian culture. This time we entrusted the history of our Literature for representing the new Sonetto Collection.
The Sonetto (Sonnet) is the most ancient Italian Poetic structure. Originally it meant ``Sound, Melody``and was traditionally used to accompany music performances. The first step in the Sonus Faber world brings the name of the foundations of Literature history in Italy and in the rest of the world.
A HARMONIOUS SHAPE
Despite its slim proportions, Sonetto III has the commanding presence of a much larger loudspeaker, thanks to advanced technologies and design solutions. Sonetto III completes the floorstanding loudspeaker range of the collection.
Sonetto III is the smallest of the Sonetto range and is a 3-way loudspeaker in the Sonetto collection with two 150mm bass drive units for the best reproduction of lower frequencies. Sonus Faber have designed a loudspeaker that completely represents their roots. The entire Sonetto collection is a true reflection of Sonus Faber in that it features all the iconic elements of the brand: natural sound, natural materials, the Lute shape, the excellent finishes typical of Italian craftsmanship, and manufactured in Vicenza.

THE VOICE OF SONUS FABER
The combination of a silk dome tweeter with the DAD™ (Damped Apex Dome™) technology and a midrange drive unit with a special natural fibre and a paper blend air dried diaphragm, defines the iconic "Voice of Sonus Faber".
MIDRANGE AND BASS DRIVER
These drive units have been designed from scratch specifically for the Sonetto collection and they featuring a die cast basket offering high rigidity.
BASS DRIVER
For an optimal lowest frequency reproduction, a special aluminium alloy diaphragm has been designed. It allows an ultra-fast, tight and yet deep bass performance.
LUTE SHAPE
The lute shape that characterizes most of the Sonus Faber models, offers a solution that ensures no internal parallel surfaces and a perfect control over internal resonances.
REFLEX PORT
The Sonetto collection's reflex ports are all sited on the base of the loudspeakers, except for the centre channel loudspeakers, to keep the design as clean as possible and at the same time make in-room placement very forgiving.
STRUCTURAL RIGIDITY
Consistent with the most prestigious Sonus Faber models, aluminium has been chosen for the column feet, extruded or milled from solid billets, to provide extreme rigidity.
