ΔΣ-Drive Precision Technology
The Technics SL-1500C incorporates advanced ΔΣ-Drive (Delta Sigma Drive), a digital motor-control technology derived from Technics’ Grand Class development. By refining PWM signal processing, the system reduces harmonics and suppresses motor vibration, improving rotational smoothness and accuracy. This enhanced drive architecture minimizes subtle noise within the motor signal, contributing to stable platter rotation and precise musical reproduction.

Coreless Direct Drive Motor
Technics’ coreless direct drive motor eliminates cogging, a common cause of micro-vibrations in traditional designs. The platter is driven directly with strong torque, ensuring long-term stability and maintenance-free operation. The combination of coreless construction and ΔΣ-Drive control results in improved speed consistency and lower mechanical interference during playback.

Built-In Phono EQ & Ortofon Cartridge
The SL-1500C includes a built-in phono equaliser, allowing immediate connection to line-level inputs without an external preamplifier. The short internal signal path reduces noise and preserves signal integrity, while the circuit can be bypassed when using an external phono stage. An Ortofon 2M Red cartridge is supplied as standard, delivering dynamic and detailed playback directly out of the box.

Refined Phono Circuit & Damped Platter
The phono EQ circuit has been optimized through extensive listening evaluations. Dedicated ± power supplies, effective shielding, and separate grounding reduce interference for low-noise performance. The two-layer platter construction combines die-cast aluminium with rear rib reinforcement and a rubber damping layer, minimizing resonance and unwanted vibration.

Aluminium S-Shaped Tonearm & Auto Lifter
A lightweight, high-rigidity aluminium S-shaped tonearm features a precision gimbal bearing assembly for high initial-motion sensitivity. The machined housing and accurate bearings support stable cartridge tracking. An integrated Auto Lifter function raises the tonearm automatically at the end of record playback, reducing stylus and vinyl wear without introducing additional motor noise.

High-Rigidity Body & Isolation
The cabinet combines an aluminium die-cast chassis with ABS reinforced by glass fibre, forming a rigid two-layer structure. This design enhances vibration damping and structural stability. High-damping insulators using spring and rubber elements suppress external vibrations and improve resistance to acoustic feedback under high sound pressure levels.

New Metallic Grey Finish
Technics introduces a Metallic Grey finish inspired by the advanced ΔΣ-Drive concept, expressing a contemporary and forward-looking aesthetic while maintaining the brand’s established design language.
